The many facets of osseous tissue in theory, palpation, and practice

The many facets of osseous tissue in theory, palpation, and practice

Bone can be in a dysfunctional state with or without direct injury. During this workshop on osseous tissue, bone will be revealed as a fluid and hyper-reactive structure that plays a determining role in the regulation of myofascial tension, erythropoiesis, immunity, mineral storage and many more of often overlooked, yet extremely important, roles in human health.

Theory will include details about intrachondral and intramembranous ossification; macro-and micro anatomy, including the pathways of the nutrient arteries, new and recent insides on the micro-blood-circulation in bone, veins and the osseus lymphatic system; and the influence of the bone in the regulation of the superficial and deep body tension.

Augmented by high definition, never before seen dissections, highlights of the hands-on opportunities will include learning how to palpate and perceive bones as a fluidic form; the diagnosis and treatment of bone tissue in its role as a tension regulator; and the recognition and treatment of congestion and dryness within the bone itself.

This workshop will definitively change the way of your osteopathic thinking, understanding and working in the osteopathic office.

Aside from the workshop, complementary information can be found in the 2nd edition of the book: Bone – The Best-Kept Secret. 2023 Edition: School of Bones.
